Gwen Tenney
Gwen Tenney was born and raised in Wyoming in a ranching and rodeo family. She grew up immersed in the Western way of life, spending countless days alongside her grandfather, a well-rounded cowboy whose work spanned brand inspecting, horseshoeing, rodeo competition, and judging. From an early age, Gwen learned discipline, responsibility, and the importance of how one thinks when outcomes matter.
While Gwen is no stranger to the arena, her primary work today is focused on business leadership, decision-making, execution, and individuals navigating significant life transitions—points where clarity of thought and internal alignment determine the next chapter.
Gwen brings a rare combination of deep mind development study and high-level leadership training. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and has devoted decades to the study and application of mind development principles. Her professional training includes extensive FranklinCovey frameworks, including The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and The Speed of Trust, John Maxwell leadership programs such as The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, and advanced mind development through the Proctor Gallagher Institute’s Matrix methodology. She has also completed Executive Coach Training aligned with International Coach Federation (ICF) standards.
Having worked with individuals across every stage of life and raising two daughters along with a son with Down syndrome, Gwen has a deep understanding that human potential is not limited by ability, but by internal programming—especially during transition. Her work focuses on aligning thought, emotion, and action so individuals and leaders can navigate change with clarity, make sound decisions, and execute with confidence rather than reaction.
Through Tenney Training, Gwen works with business owners, leaders, and individuals in transition who want internal order, steady leadership presence, and results that are intentional rather than reactive.
Lyman Tenney
Lyman Tenney was raised in a strong home with good parents and three sisters, grounded in hard work, faith, and solid moral values. He grew up believing he lived a good life and that circumstances played a major role in success and failure. Like many, he believed hard work was the primary path to advancement.
While those values served him well, Lyman later discovered that hard work alone does not create an exceptional life. Unknowingly, he had been operating from a lack-based mindset—believing time must be traded for money, that income was capped by effort, and that success followed a predictable grind. Even as an entrepreneur, he priced his work based on hours rather than value.
What changed everything was knowledge and true understanding.
Lyman discovered that success is not determined by circumstances, conditions, or background—it is determined by the individual and the laws they operate by. Through the study and application of Universal Laws and mind development, he learned how identity, belief, emotion, and focus shape behavior and results.
Lyman has since devoted himself to mindset development and applying these principles in his own life and in coaching others. His work is especially impactful for rodeo competitors and high-pressure performers who must execute consistently, manage internal distractions, and trust themselves when it counts.
Through Tenney Training, Lyman’s passion is to help people understand how they operate internally so they can stop fighting themselves and build an exceptional life by design.
